As cochlear implant candidacy expands and technology continues to evolve, audiologists must navigate a rapidly changing landscape of patient identification, referral, treatment, and follow-up care. Join neurotologist Elizabeth Perkins, MD, for an exploration of contemporary cochlear implant care, including current referral criteria, emerging trends in candidacy, and opportunities to optimize patient outcomes across the continuum of care. Following the presentation, Dr. Perkins will join representatives from Advanced Bionics, Cochlear, and MED-EL for a dynamic panel discussion focused on the critical role that audiologists play in every patient’s journey.

**Attendees will be able to:**

1. Identify current referral criteria and emerging trends in cochlear implant candidacy, including how expanding indications are changing patient identification practices.
2. Describe strategies for optimizing patient outcomes across the cochlear implant continuum of care, from initial referral through treatment and long-term follow-up.
3. Discuss the audiologist's role in collaborating with physicians and device manufacturers to support patients at each stage of the cochlear implant journey.
