This session will provide timely updates on the federal and state issues shaping the future of audiology practice as outlined in Audiology 2050.
During the briefing, we will review the latest progress on the Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act and outline the work ahead to advance this critical legislation. We will also highlight key state advocacy initiatives that are underway across the country affecting scope of practice, audiologists’ autonomy, and patient access to audiologic care.
In addition, ADA will provide an overview of recent regulatory developments from the U.S. Department of Education that affect audiology students, preceptors, and academic programs. Understanding these changes is essential as ADA continues to advocate for policies that support high quality education and a strong future for the profession.
Finally, we will share information about future advocacy priorities, including initiatives related to reimbursement, managed care, and other emerging policy issues that directly impact audiology practices.
