Incorporating Next-Generation Aural Rehabilitation into Your Practice

Presentation Date: 03/25/2026
CE Expiration Date: 12/31/2026

Return to: Webinars

Duration: 1:04:22

In this session, Nashlea Brogan, AuD — both an audiologist and cochlear implant user — sits down with Neurotone AI's Miles Aron, PhD to share her journey from provider to patient and how that experience reshaped her philosophy of care. Her story highlights a critical truth: amplification alone is not enough. When the brain is not trained to process sound effectively, patients remain at risk for social isolation, reduced confidence, and cognitive decline. This program explores how next-generation aural rehabilitation can be integrated into everyday clinical workflows. Attendees will review the science supporting aural rehab, understand how to position it as an essential component of care, and learn practical strategies to implement it successfully in private practice. When clinicians treat both the ears and the brain, outcomes improve. Patients stay engaged. Practices grow stronger.

Learning Outcomes

  • Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the clinical and quality-of-life consequences of untreated hearing loss, including social isolation, depression, cognitive decline, and dementia risk.
  • Upon completion, particpants will be able to describe the clinical rationale for including aural rehabilitation as a standard component of hearing care, including its impact on communication outcomes and cognitive health.
  • Upon completion, particpants will be able to explain how auditory training complements amplification by targeting key auditory and cognitive skills involved in speech understanding, particularly in challenging listening environments.

Don't forget to complete the online CE Evaluation.
