PAA and ADA Present Lobbying 101 Webinar

The Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology (PAA) and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) are teaming up to deliver Lobbying 101: AuDvocating for Public Policies that Advance Patient Care, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

This one-hour webinar will equip audiologists with practical strategies to lobby for legislation to improve access to and coverage of audiology services and hearing aids. Participants will learn how to navigate legislative processes, craft compelling messages, and build relationships with state and federal legislators. The course will feature real-word case studies that emphasize the importance of communicating the value of audiology care and using patient-centered stories to influence policy change.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Course attendees will be able to identify and describe legislative issues that will impact audiologists and their patients in 2025.
  2. Course attendees will be able to list three strategies for developing persuasive advocacy messaging to effectively communicate the value of audiology services to legislators and stakeholders.
  3. Course attendees will be able to identify and contact their state and federal legislators to advocate for public policy issues that improve access to and coverage of audiology services and hearing aids.

 

 

The Academy of Doctors of Audiology is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of 0.1 CEUs.
